The preschool experience that we offer introduces group learning, social / peer interaction, and early education skill building experiences. Our daily, structured program provides diverse, hands-on learning through: art; reading, choral reading, and storytelling; music, rhythm, and movement; color / shape letter recognition and pre-reading / early literacy skills; counting, calendar, and pre-math exercises; beginning science, social studies, and diversity concepts. The preschool teachers implement an open-ended curriculum, which allows them to expand upon themes and activities enabling our center to meet the development and skill levels of a variety of both chronological and developmental ages.
Elementary school children from both Bowdoin and Bowdoinham can join us between 7:00 and 8:45 (9:45 Wednesdays) in the morning, between 3:40 and 5:30 in the afternoons on school days, and also during school vacations.
